STAFF: THEY CAME DOWN BY JUMPING WITH A ROPE
Hotel staff Hıdır Yeşiş talked about what happened after the fire.
Yeşiş said, “Our staff accommodation was on the 2nd floor. Around 03.30, our friends knocked on the doors harshly and said, ‘There is a fire.’ So we went out.” he said.
Stating that they knocked on other doors during the fire, Yeşiş said, “I think it was on fire from the 4th floor to the 5th floor. Then we moved away. The shouting continued for a while. ‘Isn’t there a fire department?’ “Those who shouted ‘ and tried to breathe in the direction of the wind were like that.” ” he described the moment of the incident.
-“There were people jumping from the 9th and 10th floors. There were people hanging themselves with sheets from the 4th and 5th floors, there were 4-5 people there.” Yeşiş said, “So I threw a rope to the 8th floor. We saved 13-15 people. Those who came there went down by rope or jumping. Later, the wind was strong and we moved away from there.” he said.
