Giant Slalom World Championship dress rehearsal for the ski women! The last giant slalom before the Alpine Ski World Championships in Saalbach-Hinterglemm takes place at Kronplatz on Tuesday (1st round from 10:30 a.m. in the LIVE ticker >>>).
So far the season hasn’t gone quite smoothly for the red-white-red athletes. Julia Scheib took her only podium place so far at the season opener in Sölden.
The first round will be opened by the Swede and two-time season winner Sara Hector, followed by Federica Brignone (ITA), who shone at her home speed races in Cortina d’Ampezzo at the weekend and won the other two giant slaloms this winter. Julia Scheib, the first Austrian, will start the race in third place.
Number four is Alice Robinson (NZE), who has already been on the podium three times in 2024/25. Zrinka Ljutic (CRO), second from Killington, has start number six on his jersey. Stephanie Brunner starts the race in 20th place, Ricarda Haaser in 22nd.
