PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) – Many agencies are closing ahead of the winter weather set to hit the panhandle in the following days.

BAY COUNTY
“In preparation for the upcoming weather conditions, all park facilities- including Frank Brown Park Community Center, Aquatic Center, Lyndell Center and Russell Fields City Pier-will be closed starting at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, and will reopen at 8 a.m. on Thursday January 23, 2025. All scheduled programming is currently suspended.”
“The M.B. Miller Pier will close at 8 a.m. Tuesday and will remain closed until 7:30 a.m. Thursday.”
WALTON COUNTY
“Walton County Commission offices will remain closed until Thursday due to the severe cold weather, which has resulted in extremely hazardous driving conditions… The Courts and the Clerk of Court will close at noon on Tuesday. Other office closures for Tuesday and Wednesday include the Walton School District, Florida Department of Health, Supervisor of Elections, Tax Collector and Property Appraiser… Beach Operations will close all Beach/Bay access restroom buildings this afternoon due to extreme freeze conditions. All water/sewer systems that have the potential to freeze will be drained to prevent damage. Beach Operation crews will monitor weather systems and re-open restrooms when freeze period have passed. The Beach Tram will suspend operations today at 4 p.m. and resume operations Thursday at 8 a.m. Beach Tram manager will notify affected businesses in Grayton”
WASHINGTON COUNTY
“The Washington County Courthouse will close at noon tomorrow and remain closed on Wednesday.”

All Courts in the 14th Circuit will be closed as of Noon Tuesday (in both time zones). Courts will remain closed Wednesday. Court operations will resume as normal on Thursday.
