Mamadou Sarr, former OL defender, signed with (@RCSA)

Having left Strasbourg this summer, Mamadou Sarr should join Chelsea. A transfer which will not bring any financial contribution to OL.

L’OL will bite his fingers. Indeed, Mamadou Sarr (ex-OL) would be on the verge of signing up with the English club Chelsea. Lacking playing timeOLthe player, trained at the Rhone club, was transferred last summer to Strasbourg for the sum of €10M. Six months after his arrival at the Strasbourg club, the French U19 international would be close to joining the Blues of Chelsea. And for this transfer, Olympique Lyonnais will not receive any financial compensation.

In fact, no profit-sharing was concluded between theOL et Strasbourg in case of sale of Mamadou Sarr. Which means that of the €20 million that the English club should spend on the former Lyonnais, only training compensation will fill 's coffers. A hard blow for the Rhone club which nevertheless needs liquidity to face the sanction of the DNCG.

Regarding the details of this future transfer, the English club should therefore spend around €20 million to afford the 19-year-old defender. However, it should remain at Racing until the end of the season thanks to a loan and join Enzo's squad Maresca at the start of next season. If this operation is successful, the player will remain in the same group because BlueCothe American consortium which owns Chelseaacquired Strasbourg in 2023.
