In Boulogne-Billancourt, the anticipated legislative election divides the right and the central bloc

In Boulogne-Billancourt (Hauts-de-Seine), Stéphane Séjourné vacated his deputy seat, which arouses a lot of desire. No less than four candidates from the right and the central bloc are participating in a partial legislative session (February 2 and 9) following the resignation of Mr. Séjourné at the end of 2024. This profusion of declarations is the consequence of the departure of the ephemeral elected Renaissance to the European Commission, set in motion since September 16, 2024 and the choice of the Elysée to push its candidacy to replace Thierry Breton. The 9e Hauts-de-Seine constituency has therefore become the scene of a battle of apparatus, on this right-wing land compatible with Macronism. Everyone claims their legitimacy, accuses the other of pushing for division, but everyone agrees on at least one point: “The Boulonnais don’t understand anything about it. »

Thus, Elisabeth of Maistre was nominated by Les Républicains (LR) and is leading her campaign with the strong support of the LR mayor of Boulogne-Billancourt, Pierre-Christophe Baguet, of whom she is deputy for family and early childhood. More surprisingly, two other deputies are also in the running: Antoine de Jerphanion (Horizons) and Philippe Tellini (LR-Nouvelle Energie). “For municipal issues, you have three shades of right”denounces Laurianne Rossi, Renaissance candidate. Former deputy of the 11e Hauts-de-Seine constituency between 2017 and 2022, Mme Rossi has already received the support and visit of his party leader, Gabriel Attal, who came as a neighbor, since part of his own constituency is located in Boulogne-Billancourt.
