Ajax is closing in on leader PSV after a win against Heerenveen

On Sunday, on the nineteenth matchday in the Eredivisie, Ajax took full advantage of leader PSV’s defeat against PEC Zwolle on Saturday. The Amsterdam team won 0-2 at Heerenveen and thus came within one point of their rival.

Ajax, with Mika Godts in the starting line-up, took the lead after 20 minutes through Josip Sutalo. Only at the end of the match did Chuba Akpom (ex-STVV) finally close the books for the club from Friesland.

At Heerenveen, Ilias Sebaoui replaced the injured Rallis after 28 minutes.

Ajax (45 pts.) comes within one point of leader PSV due to the victory. Heerenveen is tenth with 24 points.

Still in the Eredivisie, Heracles (14th, 18 pts.) won 0-2 at Almere City (17th, 10 pts.). Brian De Keersmaecker played the entire match and provided an assist. At Almere, Anas Tahiri was replaced by Baptiste Guillaume after 68 minutes.
