Paula Badosa is through to her first-ever quarter-final at the Australian Open.

The world No. 12 has picked up exactly where she left off at the end of last season after being voted the WTA’s Comeback Player of the Year.

But her boyfriend, ATP star Stefanos Tsitsipas, has been struggling for form and crashed out in the first round in Melbourne.

After beating Olga Danilovic on Sunday, Badosa shared her wish to see Tsitsipas inspired by her own run.

“I hope so. He really helps me,” she said.

“Even the other day after the match, we were talking about my match. He gives me advice. He gives me tips.

“Even today in the match he was there. He really inspires me because he’s done so much already on the world. For me, having somebody like him giving me his opinion, it’s something that I admire and I love it.”
