Belgium kicks off its journey to the 69th Eurovision Song Contest tonight, unveiling the first four finalists competing in the revamped Eurosong 2025 national final. This marks Belgium’s return to a televised selection format after a two-year hiatus, in an effort to improve on last year’s disappointing non-qualification.
A National Final Revival
The Belgian public broadcaster VRT has decided to relaunch the Eurosong format after the country failed to qualify for the Eurovision grand final for the first time this decade. With an aim to regain its competitive edge, Eurosong 2025 will feature eight artists competing for a chance to represent Belgium in Basel this May.
The highly anticipated grand final of Eurosong 2025 is scheduled for February 1but fans won’t have to wait that long to get a glimpse of the action. Over the next two Saturdays, the competing entries will be revealed during two Showcase Showsleading up to the final.
Showcase Show 1 – Tonight’s Performances
This evening, beginning at 8:45 PM CET on VRTviewers will hear four of the eight entries in full for the first time. Tonight’s lineup includes:
- Grace – “Pull Up”
- Leez – “Perfectly Imperfect”
- Le Manou – “Daddy’s girl”
- Wool – “Air Balloon”

Eurosong 2025 – The Final Details
The Eurosong 2025 winner—and Belgium’s Eurovision 2025 representative—will be selected through a combined vote of the jury and publiclikely with an equal weighting. While the exact voting percentages have not yet been disclosed, the jury panel for the final has already been confirmed and includes notable figures such as:

- Bart Cannaerts – Delivered Belgium’s votes at Eurovision 2023

- The Germonpré – VRT1 Music coordinator
- Leslie Cable – RTBF Eurovision Head of Delegation
- Stephan Monsieur – President of OGAE Belgium
- Jasper Van Biesen – Eurovision expert and author of 65 Years of Belgium at the Eurovision Song Contest

Belgium at Eurovision
Last year, Belgium was represented by Black with the song “Before the Party’s Over” in Malmö. Despite being an early fan favorite, the entry failed to qualify, placing 13th in the second semifinal.
