It’s the weekend again and that means one thing: Football! Plus, all the continent’s major leagues are back in full force with some heavyweight clashes to come from Italy, Spain, Germany and England.
17:36 CET – There could be some upsets on the cards with PSG and Atletico Madrid 1-0 down to Lens and Leganes.
In Brentford meanwhile, Liverpool are pushing but still being held.
17:23 CET – A late second goal from Mohamed Amoura made things nervy, but Bayern Munich have held on to beat Wolfsburg 3-2 and extend their lead at the top of the Bundesliga to seven points ahead of Bayer Leverkusen’s evening clash.
Elsewhere, Stuttgart beat Freiburg 4-0 to move up to fourth above RB Leipzig, who couldn’t find a winner after throwing away their 3-0 lead against Bochum.
17:00 CET – Bologna have moved up to sixth in Serie A with a 3-1 win at home to Monza. They’re now well in the mix to qualify for the Champions League for a second season in a row.
16:54 CET – Bochum have done it! Dutch striker Myron Boadu has drawn them level with a stunning 15-minute hat-trick!
16:47 CET – There’s very little to report in the Premier League after the opening 45 minutes of the three 16:00 kick-offs, with each of them still goalless.
In Germany meanwhile, a stunning comeback is brewing with Bochum fighting back from 3-0 down to now trail RB Leipzig 3-2.
16:19 CET – It’s been an excellent opening 45 minutes for Bayern Munich, who deservedly lead Wolfsburg 2-1 thanks to goals from Leon Goretzka and Michael Olise.
15:55 CET – The first LaLiga match of the day has been won by Sevilla, who have beaten Girona 2-1 away from home to move up to ninth and within two points of their opponents.
15:32 CET – Newcastle United’s winning run has ended emphatically as an astonishing Justin Kluivert hat-trick helps Bournemouth to a shock win away from home in the Premier League. You can’t say it wasn’t deserved though, the away side were up from it from minute one and took their chances on the counter with ruthless efficiency – 4-1.
15:10 CET – As Newcastle search for an equaliser against Bournemouth, the lineups are in for the next wave of matches in the Premier League.
