Central Bank sends indirect message to Nikolas Ferreira on social media: “Fake Vacilão”

The Federal Deputy made a post on social media criticizing the new Pix rule, already revoked by the Government

The Central Bank used social media, last Wednesday (15/1), to publish a video clarifying the controversy surrounding Pix's new rules. But it didn't stop there. Following the post, the official profile of “BC” sent a supposed indirect message to federal deputy Nikolas Ferreira (PL-MG), calling him a “fake wimp”.

In the humorous video, the Central Bank states that there is no change in the rules for Pix. Sincerely, the BC highlighted that the service will not be charged and without any breach of confidentiality. They also warn followers not to pay false Pix invoices.

However, a curious message accompanied the BC video and the excerpt was interpreted by internet users as an indirect message to federal deputy Nikolas Ferreira (PL-MG): “Time to hear some truths that the fake guy doesn’t want to tell you, baby”, wrote.

After a great negative repercussion, the Federal Government decided to revoke the decision that increased supervision over transactions via Pix. Even before the government's decision, federal deputy Nikolas Ferreira (PL-MG) made a publication on social media criticizing the measure. The post reached 200 million views.

In his video, Nikolas said that Pix “will not be taxed, but I don’t doubt that it will be”. He also opined that the government harms the population, especially “informal workers”: “The villain in Brazil is those who earn 5 thousand reais and don't declare it in order to survive? Do you really want Brazilians to swallow this?”, he declared.
