Diddl will return to France in October after disappearing in 2010
CULTURE – It’s been fifteen years since they deserted schoolyards, binders, pencil cases, and children’s bedrooms: the Diddl mice are back! If you too have accumulated binders full of deliciously smelling leaves, like great collectors, in your younger years, this news should make you nostalgic.
After stopping being sold in 2010, Diddl, Diddlina, Pimboli and their friends, created in 1990 by German illustrator Thomas Goletz, will be back next October. This is what Kontiki, the company behind the success of the little rodents with huge feet, announced. The announcement was made on Thursday January 16 during the Maison et Objets trade fair in Paris.
“This timeless brand has left its mark on millions of French people. We want to bring together fans from the beginning and give them the opportunity to pass on this tender and colorful universe to a new generation. Diddl is much more than a mouse: it’s an intergenerational link”declared Pierre-Marin Calemard, general manager of Kontiki, quoted by West France this Friday, January 17.

« Diddl is back » (“Diddle is back”) is the name of this new collection. And as at the time of its golden age between 1990 and 2010, we can find them in the form of stationery, with the return of scented notepads, diaries, pens, erasers, but also backpacks, pencil cases and pouches. Cosmetics are also provided, such as lip glosses and nail polish.
