What a feat by Emilien Claude! While all the French captains were struggling and making mistakes in shooting, it was the young Vosges native, 25, who took over for the Blues this Wednesday during the individual match in Ruhpolding.
Author of a faultless shot behind the rifle, Emilien Claude, little brother of Fabien and the Belgian Florent, also did the job on the track to achieve the first podium of his career, only beaten by the Norwegian on duty Verjoern Soerum, who also scored a 20 out of 20 and won with a 52-second lead. The podium of the day is completed by the Latvian Andrejs Rastorgujevs. After a first Top 10 last year, already individually in Östersund (10e), he then mainly raced in the IBU Cup. This season, he showed up last week at Oberhof (8e you sprint a 13e of the pursuit). He thus becomes the 5th Frenchwoman to appear on the podium this season.
