between registration and formulation of wishes, a new phase opens today for students

It's time to do your shopping for next year. From Wednesday January 15 to Thursday March 13, Parcoursup, the orientation platform for final year students and reorientation students enters a new phase. Applicant students must register and express their wishes.

By registering on Parcoursup, students create their “candidate file”. They can then make ten wishes at most. These wishes do not have to be ranked in any order of preference. In some cases, it is even possible to formulate “sub-wishes”.

There is also the possibility of registering ten additional wishes as part of apprenticeship training.

A comparator is also available for candidates. It offers the possibility of comparing training courses on criteria such as tuition fees, access to scholarships, public or private status, access conditions, etc.

If you have any questions about the platform, a toll-free number has been set up, 0 800 400 070, as well as messaging directly accessible from the candidate file after registration.

What changes in 2025 on Parcoursup

With around 24,000 training courses offered, a figure close to 2024, the Parcoursup portal displays new features for the 2025 session designed for greater clarity.

  • A training “identity card”

Each training course will specify the status of the establishment (public, private under contract or without contract), the selective nature or not of the training, the number of places available and eligibility for scholarships. Depending on the specialties and a given average, high school students will also be able to have an idea of their chances of accessing training: “rare”, “occasionally”, “regularly”, “more than 50%”…

  • Data on professional integration

Vignettes will give figures on the profiles of high school students who joined each course during the previous three years. Parcoursup, launched in 2018, also includes new data on professional integration rates and continued studies.

The main admission phase will begin on June 2 and the classification of pending wishes will take place between June 6 and 10. A complementary phase of formulating additional wishes in view of the places still available will then open on June 11, before the start of registrations on July 4.

Last year, around 945,000 applications were submitted to Parcoursup, according to the Ministry of Higher Education and Research.
