There are some successes that matter more than others. The smile that radiated the face of Mickaëlle Michel, winner of the Val Borrigo Prize with Mowaevashows that a simple victory in a second handicap event can cause great emotions. It must be said that the last victory of the friendly rider in France dates back to November 11, 2021 in Strasbourg! Back on our soil this winter for the Cagnois meeting after trips to Japan, the United States and Australia, Mickaëlle Michel told us that she could even extend her stay in France in the coming weeks : “Returning to your land is something special, especially in Cagnes-sur-Mer where I finished at the top of the jockey list in 2018. It’s a place where I only have good memories. who am from Hyères (83), and crossing the post again in the lead for Mathieu Boutin, who was one of the first coaches to really trust me, adds a little more emotion. I have had the opportunity to travel a lot in recent years, which has allowed me to mature on a human level and see a lot of things professionally. I think I’m a complete jockey now! Normally, I will be present in Cagnes-sur-Mer until the end of the meeting and why not, if it goes very well, extend for the rest of the season in France. But for the moment, nothing has been decided yet.”
