The Premier League evening was particularly lively on Tuesday. Only Liverpool are still more or less the winners.
Brentford – Man City : 2-2
It has been written for weeks, PSG supporters keep repeating it to anyone who will listen: Manchester City will return to form right at the time of their decisive trip (for both teams) to the Parc in the Champions League , next week. This is what seemed to take shape until the 92nd minute for the second best team in the Premier League at home, after a double from Phil Foden (66th, 78th) which allowed the Citizens to lead 2-0 and fly towards their fourth victory in a row in all competitions, which would have been a first since October. But Pep Guardiola's men fell back into their trap, Yoane Wissa reducing the gap (1-2, 82nd) then Christian Norgaard equalizing in added time (2-2, 90th+2). And Nathan Ake even miraculously saved the 3-2 on his line in the 95th minute!
Nottingham – Liverpool : 1-1
It was the evening of draws for the Premier League big names, the Reds were far from being the most unfortunate because they were trailing 1-0 at the sensation of the season, after the untenable opener Chris Wood in the eighth minute of play for his thirteenth goal. After the break, miracle worker Arne Slot brought on Diogo Jota after the hour mark (66th) and he equalized at 1-1 from the next corner with his first ball, with a header despite his small size (1 .78 m). Clearly, nothing can happen to Liverpool, which maintains a six-point lead (and one game less) over its incredible runner-up for the evening – and seven points ahead of Arsenal (also with one more game) who host Tottenham on Wednesday evening. Even if Mohamed Salah, on a double opportunity, could simply have killed the championship (89th), as could Cody Gakpo (90th + 3).
Chelsea – Bournemouth : 2-2
Here too, the twists and turns were numerous and stretched deep into added time, with the match lasting almost 100 minutes at Stamford Bridge. After the fourteenth goal of the season from Cole Palmer (1-0, 13th) which finally seemed to be able to stop the series of four games without a victory in the Premier League for the Blues, they finally conceded a fifth and are above all happy to have avoided a third defeat in the heart of this difficult period. Because Justin Kluivert from the penalty spot (1-1, 50th) then Antoine Semenyo (1-2, 68th) completely reversed the situation, Reece James saving the day with a magnificent free kick (2-2, 90th +5 ).
