Daniil Medvedev never fails to bring the dram on court. He has kick started his 2025 season at the Australian Open on 14th January. While everyone expected the 3 time Australian Open finalist to cruise through his first round against World No. 414 Kasidit Samrej, the Russian star seems to struggling. Looks like the Russian player could not handle the frustration and had one of his classic outburst.
The World No.5 had an easy first set where he won 6-2. However, Samrej flipped the script in the second set where he won 6-4. Medvedev was left flabbergasted as the Thai player rained down drop shots he could not handle. Samrej was on a roll and Medvedev could not find his proper form. Samrej then took a lead and won the third set 6-4. This prompted Medvedev to have an emotional outburst. He approached the net and slammed it hard. He repeatedly hit the net with his racket, breaking it in the process. Who knew you could break a racket on a net? In the process, Medvedev also destroyed the camera situated on the net.
