On the sidelines of the mention of a possible suspension of the pension reform, Marylise Léon, general secretary of the CFDT, returns to the issues of the text and the demands of the social partners, in the “20 Heures” of Monday January 13.
Pension reform is coming back to the forefront, with the question of its suspension, which could ensure the survival of François Bayrou's government. Should we freeze the starting age at 62 years and six months as proposed by the Socialist Party, or rather push it back even further? “In Europe, there is a pension system per country and things are difficult to compare”estimates Marylise Léon, general secretary of the CFDT, guest of “20 Heures”, Monday January 13.
The union leader also emphasizes that “the question of pensions is a question of work”and to recall the “historic mobilization” that the subject has generated since 2023. “Today, there is a deep aspiration among workers to want to be better recognized in their work”estimates Marylise Léon. “If we do not deal with the issue of work, we will deal poorly with the issue of pensions”she concludes.
