Season 20 of Love is in the meadow is officially launched! This Monday, January 13, M6 broadcasts the first burst of portraits allowing us to present the twelve men and three women who will be looking for love this year. After a completely crazy assessment during the previous season, Karine Le Marchand is hopeful that men and women will send their letters to farmers looking for a soul mate. This is particularly the case of Mathieu, a sheep breeder in Occitanie.
Love is in the meadow 2025 : Mathieu confides in his portrait about his heart attack
At 29, Mathieu has only had one love affair in high school. A situation that he explains by his great shyness but also by the heart attack which almost cost him his life when he was 21 years old. “In the middle of a handball match, I had a heart attack and reached 260 beats/minute…”he explained to Karine Le Marchand in her portrait. “Doctors diagnosed him with myocarditis, an inflammation of the heart muscle caused by a viral infection. They operate on him and install a subcutaneous defibrillator which is triggered when his heart races again.“, then summarizes the host. This health problem has had major repercussions on the family, which still suffers from it today. In this Monday evening's episode, Mathieu's parents, with whom he is associated, are returned to this tragedy which still haunts them today.
-“It’s the worst thing ever…” : Mathieu's parents (Love is in the meadow 2025) moved by talking about their fear of losing their son
When talking about their son's heart attack, Mathieu's parents were particularly moved. “When you see your son leaving in a white helicopter and no one speaks out, theThe first reaction that crosses your mind is: 'Is he going to make it?' The idea that you could lose your child, This is the worst thing that can happen to you and we never come out unscathed.”confided his dad. “We were afraid”confirmed his mother. The emotion was so palpable in the family that Mathieu's father isolated himself from the cameras. “It really knocked us down”supported Mathieu, very close to his parents.
