Nine new testimonies of sexual violence targeting Abbé Pierre were made public on Monday January 13 by Emmaüs. Among the alleged victims, Danièle Moulin, the priest's former assistant, agreed to entrust her story to the France Télévisions and “Envoyé Spécial” teams.
She had never spoken publicly: Danièle Moulin today denounces repeated sexual assaults allegedly committed by Abbé Pierre. “I suffered touching from him several evenings in a row which could go quite far”remembers the alleged victim, heard in an exclusive report from “Envoyé Spécial”.
Without going into details, the latter evokes touching on the part of the priest “on [sa] chest and intimate spaces”. “I saw him get naked and do things to himself that I wouldn’t say”she adds, specifying that she “looked away”.
“As weird as it sounds, I let him do it, to a certain point. My limit was all penetration.”confides Danièle Moulin. The facts allegedly took place in 1972, during a humanitarian mission to Bangladesh when she was his assistant. “I was 21, Abbé Pierre was 60”she remembers. His story is one of nine new testimonies that Emmaüs made public this Monday, January 13.
