The minister and former senator LR of the Alpes-Maritimes is suspected of “embezzlement of public funds” and “illegal taking of interests” by the National Financial Prosecutor's Office.
The Minister of Transport, Philippe Tabarot, is the target of an investigation for “embezzlement of public funds”, “illegal taking of interests” and “concealment of the two crimes”, BFMTV learned from a judicial source this Monday, January 13, confirming information from the World.
This investigation, opened by the National Financial Prosecutor's Office, follows a report from the High Authority for Transparency in Public Life on July 29, 2021.
A search took place on November 30, 2022 at the home of Philippe Tabarot, former senator of the Alpes-Maritimes, and in the premises of the Cannet town hall of the Cannet Public Interest Group (GIP). The preliminary investigation is still ongoing.
