Conor McGregor has made waves on social media for his vicious performance on the pitch for his pub team.

The legendary mixed martial artist certainly wasn’t holding anything back in the tackling department.

In his esteemed UFC career, Conor McGregor made a reputation for his brutal power, rendering his opponents unconscious with his thunderous left hand.

And it appears his love of violence transcends the octagon, with the athlete putting in some truly outrageous challenges for his beloved side.

On Saturday, the Dubliner played for Black Forge FC, in a United Churches  League (UCFL) Premier Division fixture against Harding FC.

McGregor, who sported the number 11 jersey, appeared on the left wing, going all out, in a match that ended in a 1-1 draw.

A video clip showcased the 36-year-old seemingly connecting with a kick to an opponent’s stomach after a missed effort at goal, dragging a rival to the floor, as well as flying into a ruthless slide tackle.

His antics seemingly annoyed one of the other team’s players, with the individual actually giving the Irishman a shove.

Of course, the MMA community quickly took to social media to post their takes on what McGregor did on the pitch.

One person pointed out: “First dude took a legit ex-world champ body kick,” while another enthused: “This might sound cliche, but Conor playing soccer is exactly the way I would have imagined it. Freaking awesome!”

A third, claimed: “Conor McGregor thinks Soccer and MMA are the same,” with a fourth adding: “Looks like everybody there is dreading playing with him.”

A fifth wrote, simply: “No mercy.”
