From Wednesday January 15, 2025, 9 million French people will benefit from a 60% advance on their credits and tax reductions. The payment will be made directly into their bank accounts, reports l’Actu.
People benefiting from credits or tax reductions linked to certain specific expenses will receive an advance of 60% of the amount due. From Wednesday January 15, 2025, 9 million French people will receive a transfer of this advance, the average amount of which amounts to 639 euros. This payment concerns in particular those who have expenses linked to employment at home, donations made to associations or even childcare costs, informs Actu.fr.
Who is affected by this advance?
The people concerned by this advance are those who have made expenses in the following areas: Donations to associations. Employment of a home-based employee. Childcare costs (crèche, childminder). Accommodation costs in nursing homes. Expenses linked to rental investment (Duflot, Pinel, Scellier devices, etc.).
These taxpayers will receive the advance directly into their bank account, in the form of a transfer labeled “ADVANCE CREDIMPOT”. No special procedure is required to benefit from this payment.
The transfer will be made on January 15, 2025 for the majority of beneficiaries. The average amount of the advance is 639 euros, but it can vary depending on the expenses incurred. If the tax administration does not know the taxpayer’s bank details, a check will be sent by the end of January.
Although this advance is paid automatically, there is a risk of having to repay it if expenses have decreased in 2023 compared to 2022. For example, if a home employee has been made redundant or if donations to associations have been reduced, it was possible to modify the advance before December 12, 2024. Otherwise, the tax administration could request the return of the money received. If in doubt, it is possible to contact the tax administration to make adjustments.
