What is “Do You Remember” about?
The children have moved out and the home is now empty. Marianne and Günter have gotten used to the situation. The former love between them has faded and instead everyday life is characterized by a dreary routine. They blame each other for this situation.
-They also notice that their memory is failing – of course only that of their partner, as each of them believes. When Günter forgets his wedding day, that’s the straw that breaks the camel’s back. But in reality he hasn’t forgotten him.
His friend Heinz gave him two miracle pills that he tested himself with his wife: a pill that can supposedly bring back memories in a very short time. They decide to try it – and after just half an hour the amazing effect becomes apparent.
Together they travel back in time and relive the story of their lives. They remember ups and downs, joys and sorrows, doubts and courage… Until they finally reach the moment when they met for the first time.
The effect of the pill is actually impressive, but there are also downsides: Over the course of a life, there are memories that you would rather leave behind…
