Where does snow fall?
In the lowlands it snows a little, especially in the western Mittelland and in the foothills of the Alps. This means that you should expect snow in the agglomerations of Bern and Lucerne. In addition, it is widespread in the Alps and is white. There is up to 20 cm of fresh snow in places.

When will it be white?
There could be traffic delays during rush hour due to the snow. The snowfall spreads from Valais towards the northeast during the day. In most of German-speaking Switzerland it snows between Friday afternoon and Saturday night. At low altitudes in French-speaking Switzerland and Valais, the snowfall turns back into sleet or rain towards the evening. The best way to watch live is via radar.
Good winter sports conditions in sight
The weather calms down at the weekend. From Sunday, the combination of sunshine and fresh snow will ensure the best winter sports conditions. The stable and sunny weather, at least in the mountains, lasts for several days.
