Serge Lama expressed his great sadness after the disappearance of one of his very dear friends. On his Instagram and X accounts, the artist paid tribute to the memory of a singer well known to the French.

On Instagram and X, Serge Lama saluted the memory of his « ami »by writing the lyrics of his song dedicating them to “his Yoyo of love”. The artist was suffering from cancer and made it public in 2020. The same year, he released a 16th and final album, called The Friends Counter. On the disc, we can find unreleased duet titles, including one with his friend Serge Lama, but also with Fabienne Thibault, Didier Barbelivien, Stone and Gérard Lenorman. Born under the name Jean-Paul Chapuisat on July 31, 1934, he chose his pseudonym inspired by his hometown, Dreux, in the Center-Val de Loire.
