Karima Charni (Star Academy) reveals this moving sentence slipped off-camera by a candidate on the bus

After twelve weeks of broadcast, which brought together no less than 4 million viewers on average every Saturday, fans of the Star Academy are approaching the grand finale! This Saturday, December 4, we will (finally) know the names of the final quartet. And for Karima Charni, it also marks the end of three very intense months! Filming of the daily, preparation for the bonus, students' exit on the bus, return to the castle… Nikos Aliagas' co-host has had a remarkable season. She also tries to apply the advice of her partner to the letter, who advises her on the phone after each bonus: “Nikos is like an uncle to his niece”, she confided to us. And Karima does the same with her foals! Every week, she accompanies the students with tenderness and kindness on their way back to the castle. At the podcast microphone The Click(s), she also gave us the touching words exchanged with a candidate from this twelfth season.

Karima Charni upset by the admission of a candidate: “It was the first time anyone said that to me”

When she started out, in the 2000s, Karima Charni sometimes suffered from not having a model who looked like her on television: “I am part of a visible minority, I am North African and I am very proud of it but I had no one to compare myself to. Today, I would love it if there were kids who looked at me and said , we can become Karima”, she confided to us. Twenty years later, the one who sometimes thought that her career was coming to an end, is reassured to see things changing. And this did not escape one of the candidates for the current season… She explains to us: “You know, it happened on the bus not very long ago… There was a candidate who said to me: 'Me, I would love to be like Karima one day. And really, it moved me a lot because it was the first time that I became an example to follow.”

Karima Charni (Star Academy) recounts her conversation with…

Neither one, nor two, we obviously asked Karima Charni for the identity of this candidate, who replied: “I won't say her name because we're in the middle of a show, so I don't want anyone to think that I'm encouraging one student more than another!” she confided, adding that she was a candidate still in the running [en date du 12 décembre, soit Maïa, Marguerite, Marine ou Ebony, NDLR]. From this conversation on the bus, a real realization came for Karima Charni: “It touched me enormously because for the first time, I understood that in the responsibilities I had, in teenagers' rooms, in houses, there are perhaps little girls who say to themselves: hey, we have a point of comparison! And even when your name is Karima, you can succeed.”
