12,000 homes are still without electricity in France on Monday evening, mainly in the East and Île-de-France, due to storm Floriane which swept across France from Sunday evening, the manager said of the Enedis electricity distribution network.
In the east of France, around 6:30 p.m., 2,000 homes are still without electricity in the Marne department, 1,000 in the Meuse and as many in Moselle, Meurthe-et-Moselle and Haut-Rhin. 1,200 homes are also without electricity in Seine-et-Marne, east of Paris, Enedis said. “Most of it will be restored in the evening,” added the EDF subsidiary.
Earlier in the afternoon, Enedis reported a report of 40,000 customers without electricity.
No more orange vigilance
The network manager mobilized its teams last weekend, after the first alerts from Météo-France. He indicated on Monday that he would continue the interventions so that, from Tuesday morning, “the last homes without electricity can be restored.” Enedis also reminds that as a safety measure, you should never touch fallen wires or an object in contact with a power line.
No more departments are on orange alert Monday evening. 21 were there during the night from Sunday to Monday, mainly in the northern half of France.
