Seven departments in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region are on yellow snow-ice alert on Saturday January 4.
Météo France places seven departments in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region on yellow snow-ice alert on Saturday January 4. The territories concerned are: Rhône, Ain, Loire, Haute-Loire, Cantal, Allier and Puy-de-Dôme.
Vigilance will begin at 12 a.m. and end at 3 p.m. indicates Météo France. An episode of black ice is therefore expected in the Rhône. “The night from Friday to Saturday will be generally calm and cold in many regions, with very numerous frosts in the northern half and east of the country. They will often be strong (temperatures below -5°C) in the East and towards the massifs. It will also be necessary to watch out for a risk of scattered freezing drizzle in the morning near the Massif Central, or even over the Alps in the afternoon.“, it is specified.
Freezing rain is forecast, particularly at Arbresle or Tarare. On Sunday, the Rhône should benefit from a pleasant mild spell as Saturday's disturbance will move northwards. Clouds and some rain coming from the Mediterranean should appear.
