“No cry, no breath”: Sheryfa Luna announces the loss of her third child

The message is long, simply accompanied by a drawing of a mother holding a child with wings in her arms, to illustrate the terrible words of Sheryfa Luna this Thursday, January 2. The 35-year-old singer, already mother of two boys, Vénus Junior and Ibrahim, has just announced that she lost her third child during childbirth. “This year 2025 begins for me with a heavy heart, in search of healing. There are trials that nothing can prepare for, trials that turn everything upside down and transform us forever”she wrote in the introduction to her message.

A moving testimony from the woman who revealed an extremely rare photo of her son Ibrahim last year. “In 2024, I had the immense happiness of learning that I was going to become a mother for the third time. A little boy, Khalil. A pregnancy lived in a bubble of love, like a treasure that I wanted to protect. I dreamed of the day when I could tell you: 'Thank God, I had my third child.'”says Sheryfa Luna, before adding: “And this truth is indisputable: I am a mother of three children. But life, sometimes, confronts us with the unthinkable. On November 17, I gave birth to Khalil in a chilling silence. No cry, no breath. My son had already left.”

Sheryfa Luna hasn't been the same since Khalil's death

A real trauma for the artist from Évreux (Eure), who experienced one of the worst moments of his life. “That day, I discovered a pain that no words can truly describe : giving life and having to say goodbye in the same moment”summarizes Sheryfa Luna, before continuing her terrible story: “I held him close, memorizing every detail of him in my heart. Her face so peaceful, her little hands so perfect. This moment, filled with love, was also a goodbye. A few days later, I had to accompany Khalil to his final resting place, such a heartbreaking act that no mother should have to experience it.”

A real trauma for the singer, for whom “every moment is a battle” From now on. “Khalil existed. He marked my life and transformed my soul forever. I am no longer who I was before him. He taught me strength in fragility, love in absence, and the beauty of a bond that transcends time”adds the one who revealed the face of her eldest son Venus Junior last year, before continuing: “I am starting this new year with a heart that wavers between pain and hope. But I cling to my faith and to the idea that Khalil had a mission much greater than I can understand today. Even if his stay was brief, he left an indelible mark on me.”

“To all those going through invisible, silent trials, I want to say that you are not alone. Each pain we carry makes us a different version of ourselves, deeper, more conscious. Khalil, my son, my angel. You left too soon, but as long as I live, you will live in me”concluded Sheryfa Luna.
