A man between two women: That can’t work out well in the long run. In “Nord bei Nordwest” the love triangle has been annoying for a long time. Now a great opportunity has been missed.
It could have been like this: Police officer Hannah Wagner (Jana Klinge) returns from vacation in love, engaged, and with big plans for the future. Actually the ideal solution to break the tormenting love triangle surrounding Hauke Jacobs (Hinnerk Schönemann). The man who has learned two professions, a veterinarian and a police officer, and who divides his private passion between a veterinarian and a police officer.
This was attractive for a long time because the viewer could get excited about who the handsome bachelor would give his heart to. But at some point it was understood that this man simply suffers from a chronic lack of decision-making and will therefore never be able to make a decision. Since then, the love story in the crime series has become a burden.
Wagner’s happiness in love could have solved all problems and made three people happy in one fell swoop: She herself could have finally left the provincial town of Schwanitz, which only seems to consist of gossiping old people and weird undertakers, with her future husband. Jule Christiansen (Marleen Lohse) would finally have Hauke Jacobs all to himself, which would certainly not be to his detriment. While Hannah Wagner experiences adventures in the wide world, order would have returned to Jacobs’ life.
But the great football philosopher Lothar Matthäus already knew: “Would be, would be, bicycle chain”. With his constant sulking, Hauke Jacobs absurdly moves his colleague back. Instead of running away and saving herself from this whiner, she throws her fiancé into the wind and takes up her civil service job again.
At the end of this first of three new “Nord bei Nordwest” episodes, Hannah Wagner returns to the district. Hauke Jacobs is still unable to express his feelings, but a smile fills his face.
At least one who is happy.
