Those who make their annual tax payment during the month of January 2025 will receive a 10% discount, announced this Friday, December 27, by the Mayor’s Office of Panama.
According to the Mayor’s Office, this discount will be applied to the total amount of the annuity of taxes corresponding to commercial activity, mobile and fixed advertising.
The entity indicated that this measure seeks to “relieve the tax burden of businesses in the capital district.”
However, the taxpayer must be safe and sound to receive the discount. Once this requirement is met, you must submit the annual sworn declaration of gross income, since the amount of the annual tax will be calculated based on said information.
By 2025, the Municipality of Panama, led by Mayer Mizrachi, will have an income and expense budget of 231.8 million dollars.
The municipality’s objective for next year is to increase its collection from 140 million to 160 million dollars, accompanied by a more equitable distribution of funds.
