Winning the semi-final of the Italian Super Cup is worth at least 3.4 million or the difference between the prize that goes to the defeats in the two semi-finals (1.6 million each) and the 5 million that are reserved for those who are beaten in the final. The winner of the trophy, however, takes home a good 8 million, significant money to which must be added any bonuses from the sponsors as well as the increase in the value of the brand in a strategic area for finding new sponsorships. The results of Inter-Atalanta and Juventus-Milan, therefore, go beyond the pitch and are also of great interest to the accountants of the various clubs.

total prize pool

The agreement with the Saudi Ministry of Sport guaranteed the Serie A League 23 million of which 16.2 will be distributed in prizes for the four participating teams. The remaining money will be divided among the other 16 Serie A teams (2.5 million), used for commissions to the brokerage agency that closed the deal and retained by the League for expenses. In terms of prize money, the Supercoppa Italiana is the one that has the largest prize pool compared to the others at a European level. In Spain for example, of the 40 million a year collected per season, just over 12.2 are given to the teams, with Real and Barcelona clearly dissatisfied.
