Thursday January 2 and Friday January 3, the North-East of France will see its landscapes whiten slightly with a few snowflakes. Around fifteen departments have been placed on yellow alert by Météo France.
For the start of 2025, the weather has reserved a few snowflakes for the North-East of the country. Indeed, this Thursday, January 2, 2025 should see a few snowflakes fall on part of the territory. Here are the few departments concerned and placed on yellow alert for the occasion. Snow and ice expected.
“The snow has replaced the rain”
The departments of Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, Aisne, Aube, Ardennes, Côte-d'Or, Doubs, Haute-Marne, Meuse, etc. are concerned. The rest of the departments marked in yellow by Météo France are listed here. Indeed, according to the agency: “flakes mix very temporarily with the rain from the Paris region to Avesnois, without sticking to the ground”.
Météo France also adds in its bulletin: “During the morning, in an increasingly cold atmosphere, snow begins to replace the rain on the heights of Champagne-Ardenne in Lorraine. A layer of a few centimeters forms”specifies the press release.
