After living a life out of the spotlight for years, Debby Pfaff and her partner announced this year that they were ending their relationship. In an interview with De Morgen, Debby indicates that she prefers not to go into detail about the reason for the breakup, but she does emphasize the importance of a good relationship for their children.
For Debby it is now about building a new dynamic in which the children are central. “What counts is a new kind of shared future. Not as husband and wife, but as parents,” she explains. Despite the end of their relationship, she looks back with gratitude on what they built together. “We shared a lot of beautiful moments and brought two children into the world. I am still very aware of how valuable that shared past is for both of us.”
No room for speculation
Debby does not want to elaborate on the exact cause of the divorce. “Whether we were unhappy together for a while or how the relationship ended: that doesn’t matter,” she emphasizes. According to Debby, there is no point in talking about this publicly. “Pattering about it has no added value. Not for me, and certainly not for the children.”
