Frédéric Hamard and his daughter Amandine had this project in mind since the return in 2022 of the Star Academythe famous TF1 show which launched Jenifer, Nolwenn Leroy, Elodie Frégé and Grégory Lemarchal.
Impatient to meet this new promotion with many talents, they linked Machecoul Saint-Meme to Paris this Saturday, December 28, 2024 to attend the last primetime of the year. They tell us about their evening.
“At 5 p.m., arrival at the hotel, strategically located 200 m from Studio 217. We meet former students of this class eliminated in previous weeks and parents of students who will be on the prime.
6 p.m.: the doors open, there is a line of 500 m along the sidewalk… People enter in small groups. Thirty minutes later, we leave for the studio on foot, about 200 m. Bonus: we pass in front of the Star Ac' bus.
8:10 p.m.: start of the show. This may come as a surprise, but it is not at all the usual chronological order of viewers… It begins with the artists who are scheduled in the second part of the evening, after the students' prime. In this case Ben Uncle Soul and Ycare. A room attendant guides the audience throughout the show: ads, applause, phone flashes, hearts with fingers…
8:40 p.m.: Nikos appears to a standing ovation from the audience. The students come to tease the start of the show on Light the fire then the “real” prime begins with a delay of 40 minutes compared to the broadcast on TF1.
The show is interrupted by commercials, but we remain speechless in front of the technicians who are real magicians. An incessant ballet of almost choreographed movements that fascinate us, of rearrangements of settings that are sometimes very voluminous, such as a saloon, walls, trees, platforms, etc.
When Nikos refers to the nominees, the audience is very divided and shouts the first name of their favorite with an extra bit of soul for Marguerite. Marine is the most acclaimed, every time she appears, the public reacts.
Then, around 11:45 p.m., the verdict falls, Ulysses is saved and Marguerite must leave amid applause. We have the chance to go down from the second balcony on the ground floor to see the students leaving on the bus. They are loaded with signs with their first name. Karima interviews Ulysses at the bus door and the bus goes to the castle.
We return to watch the last part with the usual sections well known to viewers (teachers' challenges, director's spoilers). The show ends around 1 a.m. with a performance by Linh, then we leave stage 217.”
