After a year 2024 full of emotions, I wish you all a beautiful and happy new year 2025!
The past year was a record vintage for “SPORT & SOCIETY”with nearly 580,000 readers who were passionate about the final preparations for Paris 2024 and who also appreciated following the applications and projects for future Olympic and Paralympic editions – and I am deeply touched and grateful.
It is in fact with always the same pleasure and the same passion that I try as best I can to inform and share my expertise on the Olympic question for more than 15 years now and through more than 5,230 articles. – including more than 330 written only over the last twelve months – read by a total of more than 3 million readers in France, Europe and around the world*.
During the year 2024, the general audience experienced a strong increase – of course following the prospect of the Paris 2024 Games, but also in light of the interest aroused by the candidatures for the Games of 2036, 2040 and even 2044 with regard to future summer deadlines, but also for the French Alps 2030 and Salt Lake City – Utah 2034 projects.
The audience of “SPORT & SOCIETY” has thus experienced a massive resurgence in France compared to 2023 which had already been a prosperous year, and has also experienced unprecedented interest in Canada, Belgium, the United States, Switzerland, Germany, but also in Spain, Morocco, the United Kingdom or Italy.
In summary: MERCI for this trust and loyalty!
In 2025, new publications will complement the wide range of articles already accessible, always with the aim of remaining independent and as impartial as possible.
Finally, how can I close 2024 without mentioning the happiness I felt on May 16, when I had the honor – at the invitation of the Games Organizing Committee – to be the first bearer of the torch of Paris 2024 on the Olympic Torch Relay route, in my town of Narbonne (Aude), between the Arena and the Sports and Friendship Park. An intense and memorable memory.
