The evocative Piazza Duomo in Catania, on Tuesday 31 December in prime time, will host “New Year’s Eve in music” hosted live by Federica Panicucci with Fabio Rovazzi which Canale 5 will broadcast live in prime time. The concert celebrating the arrival of the new year will start at the end of the speech by the President of the Republic.
The presentation of the event, with free entry, promoted by the Sicilian Region in partnership with Mediaset took place in the elephant palace, the Municipality of Catania, in the presence of the deputy mayor Paolo La Greca, the Sicilian regional councilor for Tourism Elvira Amata, the president of the municipal council Sebastiano Anastasi.
Among those present were also the director of Canale 5 Giancarlo Scheri and the CEO of Radiomediaset Paolo Salvaderi.
Musicians and performers who have made the history of Italian song and the idols of the youngest will take turns on stage.
There will be Alberto Urso, Baby K, Berna, Cioffi, El Ma, Grelmos, I Desideri, LDA, Ludwig, Marco Masini, Mida, Mietta, Orietta Berti, Paola and Chiara, Paolo Meneguzzi, Riccardo Fogli, Riki, Spagna, Umberto Tozzi , Vida Loca. The participation of talents from the “Amici” school is also expected. “Capodanno in Musica” will then make use of a special participation by Gigi D’Alessio.
