It was a rather special New Year's Eve that the teams from the Nantes metropolis experienced yesterday. Their website, as well as that of around twenty French town halls, such as , , , , and , was hacked.

These attacks were claimed by a group of hackers called No Name. Known for defending the interests of Russia, he explains having carried out these computer attacks on different municipalities in France, in retaliation for French support for Ukraine.

This Wednesday morning, Nantes Métropole affirmed that yesterday “the teams mobilized to ensure the continued proper functioning of the website in the best possible conditions“. Indeed, the site is now operational again and the computer attack has been neutralized.

On the side of the Angevin municipality site, the situation is more delicate. This January 1, at mid-morning, their website was still inaccessible to the general public.

The Angevins had already suffered a cyberattack of the same type last September. In January 2021, this even had very significant repercussions and paralyzed the agents' on-site services.
