Beach volleyball player Nina Brunner is expecting her first child. At the beginning of summer she and her husband, ice hockey professional Damien Brunner, are due to become parents of a daughter.

(Keystone-SDA) “Baby Brunner” is on the way, the beach volleyball player announced on Instagram. They couldn’t wait and were really looking forward to this new chapter.
In October, Nina Brunner announced that she wanted to take a break from top-class sport. «The last nine years have been incredibly beautiful, successful, but also very intense. “I would like to dedicate myself to having my own family and am happy to now have a little more time for my studies, friends and family,” she said at the time.
Nina Brunner and her sports partner Tanja Hüberli won a bronze medal at the Olympic Games in Paris. The duo will be in the shortlist for the Swiss Team of the Year 2024 at the Sports Awards on January 5, 2025. Husband Damien Brunner is under contract with EHC Biel.
According to media reports, the two have been a couple since 2013 and have been married since 2021.
