Cyprien Sarrazin suffered a big fall during the last downhill training in Bormio. The Frenchman literally flew away, the impact was very violent and the helicopter intervened.
Cyprien Sarrazin took off during the last downhill training in Bormio this Friday. Fastest in the first practice Thursday on the Stelvio, the Haut-Alpin, still starting on very rapid bases, fell very heavily at the level of a bump, a fall of several tens of meters which ended under the protective tarpaulins.
An impressive moment, the helicopter immediately reached the air and was above the Frenchman. He must be airlifted.
Training was obviously interrupted for almost 20 minutes before resuming.
There is concern for the double winner of Kitzbühel in 2024 and defending champion in Bormio. His airbag opened quickly.
Quoted by Eurosport, Kevin Page, the head of the French technical group, clarified that Sarrazin was conscious and complaining of a foot.
