Ten days after the appointment of François Bayrou to Matignon, the new government was finally unveiled this Monday evening. Several heavyweights in political life return to the forefront on this occasion.
The suspense has finally ended. Almost three weeks after the fall of Michel Barnier and his team, overthrown by a historic motion of censure in the Assembly, France finally has a new government. While Emmanuel Macron finally decided to appoint François Bayrou, his long-time ally, to Matignon ten days ago, the Élysée formalized this Monday the complete list of ministers from Béarnais through its secretary general. Alexis Kohler.
And this, a few moments after the president of the Hauts-de-France region Xavier Bertrand published a vitriolic press release on his social networks, announcing that he will not be Minister of Justice “due to opposition from the National Rally (RN).” Le Figaro presents to you the official composition of the government, which François Bayrou welcomed “the experience to reconcile and renew trust with all French people” in the wake of his communication.
