In the midst of a crisis in the real estate sector and while highly anticipated measures have been suspended due to lack (for the moment) of Budget 2025, Valérie Létard retains her Housing portfolio as delegate minister.
Coming from the UDI, this close friend of Jean-Louis Borloo and former senator notably brought into the discussions on the Finance bill in the fall the idea of an extension to the entire territory of the zero-rate loan, in order to to restart construction. The measure was eagerly awaited by professionals who again warned, a few days ago, of the numerous job cuts to come in the sector.

Another file on the minister's desk: the rental crisis, with a sharp drop in housing supply. This comes at a time when the ban on renting homes with the lowest rated DPE (those rated G) will come into force on January 1st. In November, the minister wanted to “find ways to reassure owners and tenants and simplify access to housing”.
