Precautions for Delhi Residents
As the AQI in Delhi and nearby regions continues to remain above 400 at severe level, many people may experience health problems such as difficulty in breathing, eye irritation, headaches, throat discomfort, frequent sneezing and coughing, as well as dizziness.
Health professionals advise minimising outdoor activities where possible, wearing masks when going outside, staying well-hydrated, using sunglasses to shield the eyes from polluted air, using air purifiers, and avoiding indoor actions that may increase air pollution, like lighting candles, burning incense, or using strong cleaning products. Additionally, maintaining a nutritious diet and paying attention to the health needs of children and the elderly is crucial.
