NATIONAL SUMMARY

A clipper storm will travel from the Upper Midwest today to

the interior Northeast late tonight. Snow in Wisconsin and

Minnesota will be heavy in some areas and can lead to

rapidly deteriorating visibility and travel conditions. It

will be very windy across the northern Plains and northern

Rockies. Wind gusts of 30-50 mph can lead to localized power

outages and blow around loose objects. Where snow recently

fell, extensive blowing and drifting will occur. Meanwhile,

a bit of rain will approach Washington and Oregon late in

the day and night. Much of the rest of the nation will be

dry, except for the Atlantic coast of Florida, where there

can spotty thundershowers. Cool to colder air will expand
