Sentenced to three years’ imprisonment including one year in prison under an electronic bracelet, as confirmed by the Court of Cassation on Wednesday December 18, Nicolas Sarkozy benefited from the support of his son.
He declared, at the beginning of October, that his son had “enormous talent”. Two months later, Nicolas Sarkozy benefited from the latter’s support after the Court of Cassation rejected his appeal in the “Bismuth” wiretapping case on Wednesday December 18. Sentenced to three years of imprisonment, including one year in prison under an electronic bracelet, and three years of ineligibility, the former president was the subject of a message from Jean Sarkozy, 38 years old, from his past relationship with Marie-Dominique Culioli (from 1982 to 1996).
The support of Carla Bruni
The latter has in fact published a vintage photo on his Instagram account, in which he appears as a child, sitting on his father’s knees. “What I see,” wrote the former general councilor of Hauts-de-Seine in the caption of the post. Accused of corruption and influence peddling, Nicolas Sarkozy was also able to count on the support of his wife Carla Bruni.

The latter shared in a story the press release from her husband, who described the Court’s decision as “profound injustice”. A post in which the former head of state wished to “reaffirm (his) perfect innocence”, before his lawyer, Me Spinosi, announced that he intended to refer the matter to the European Court of Human Rights “in the coming weeks” .
