In accordance with the ministerial roadmap presented on November 19, three major developments will be accessible from December 18, the date of the opening of the platform for consultation of the training offer proposed for the 2025 school year.
An identity card for each training
A new functionality will bring together essential information relating to each training course on the same page:
- The status of the establishment (public, private under contract or without contract).
- The selective nature or not of training.
- The number of places available.
- The possession or not of label Ministry of Higher Education and Research.
- L’scholarship eligibility.
To complete this tool, a practical booklet entitled “Good reflexes for choosing your training”, the development of which was carried out in consultation with students' parents and those involved in higher education, will be made available to high school students. and their parents on the “Resources” area of the coursup.gouv.fr website. It will offer simple advice to help high school students and their parents to better understand the training offer and to ask yourself the right questions before choosing a course.
On the training sheet, high school students and their parents can already access all the useful information for know the lessons offered, refine their orientation project gradually via the “favorites” functionality, find the dates of open days or even compare training between them via the comparator offered on the Parcoursup training map.
Increased transparency on the criteria and methods of access to training
New detailed information will be available on the “training” sheet to help candidates better understand training expectations and know the profile of admitted candidates:
- The section “Understanding the criteria for analyzing applications” will provide access to the report on the examination of applications from the previous session, specifying the analysis criteria used, their level of importance, as well as precise information on the profile of admitted candidates.
- The “View training access figures” section will display new data allowing high school students to consult, by type of baccalaureate (general, technological, vocational), the profile of high school students who were able to receive offers and who have joined the training over the last three years: choice of course in high school (specialty courses, series or specialties) and academic level in final year class.
These new features were developed based on consultations with high school students. The information communicated will strengthen the transparency of the admission process and will help them candidates in their reflection on the choice of wishes.
Enriched information on professional opportunities
A major development, Parcoursup also includes in 2025 new data on professional integration rates and further studies. A specific section will be accessible for each training course, detailing the integration statistics.
Previously limited to BTS and professional licenses, the data will be extended to general licenses, BTS agricoles, engineering schools, of commerce et of management. Thus, in 2025, 75% of the training courses on Parcoursup will offer data on professional integrationa valuable asset to guide the choices of young people and their families.
By the end of January, new data concerning hiring conditions produced by ministerial statistical services will be integrated into Parcoursup.
Finally, the calendar for the 2025 session has been redesigned to reduce waiting and uncertainty for candidates. The main admission phase will begin on Monday June 2, 2025 and the classification of pending applications will take place between June 6 and 10 in order to accelerate the process and allow a maximum of high school students to receive at least one admission offer. before the written baccalaureate exams.
After the first stage of discovery of the new training offerhigh school students and students looking for a reorientation will be able to register on the Parcoursup platform and express their wishes from January 15, 2025.
Like every year, high school students will benefit from a local support provided throughout the year by the educational teams of their establishment.
