Stefan Bellmont lost to the better-endowed Dutchman Jermaine Wattimena in three sets at the Darts World Cup. The 35-year-old had his strongest phase in Set 3, when he hit a 180 for the third time and took the lead in the set. In total, Bellmont scored the maximum number of 180 points five times.
In the packed Ally Pally, the global darts hotspot in London, the more experienced Wattimena ultimately prevailed clearly and deservedly. The 36-year-old from Westervoort made fewer mistakes and remained ice-cold in the crucial moments. So the Darts World Cup ends after the first game for Stefan Bellmont. (puff)
