After Brian Riemer lost for the first time, he was immediately fired. David Hubert managed to win the hearts of the Anderlecht fans and was allowed to stay on as head coach after an interim period.
Jam Mulder was a guest in Leuven, where Anderlecht played OHL. It became a dry 0-0. “Anderlecht unworthy,” Mulder tells HUMO. “But purple and white coach David Hubert was very satisfied with the eighth clean sheet of the season. The defense was rock solid.”
Mulder is therefore the first to draw conclusions. “The best Anderlecht player of the season is therefore not difficult to guess: Colin Coosemans, goalkeeper.”
The Purple & White goalkeeper saw that his team is difficult to beat at the back. “All the defenders received praise from him. Inundated with praise from the newspaper boys, Hubert said at the press conference: ‘Kasper Dolberg is my first defender and Coosemans my first attacker.’”
Mulder thought it was a brilliant statement. “I just wouldn’t put the second half of that football wisdom into practice. With Coosemans on the ball there is the greatest danger of conceding a goal. He better stay away from it.”
