A Sereias da Vila U20 team was beaten 2-0 by Fluminense on Thursday night (12), saying goodbye to the second edition of the Copinha in the semi-finals. The knockout match took place at Estádio do Canindé, in São Paulo.
Now, Fluminense faces Internacional, who on Wednesday (11) eliminated Ferroviária, on penalties, 5-4, after a 1-1 draw. The decision will take place next Sunday (15), at Mercado Livre Arena Pacaembu .
The game
After six minutes, Mari Feitosa played a beautiful game on the right wing. She carried the ball, leaving her markers behind and sent Isa Viana through the middle. The number 10 dominated, already thinking about finishing, but the left-footed shot went to the left of the goal, along the baseline.
Three minutes later, Peixe had a free kick in midfield and the ball fell to Evelin Bonifácio in the middle of the offensive field. She found space to finish and released a bomb, but the ball went too high, going over the goal.
Fluminense opened the scoring in the 17th minute. Adrielly took advantage of a poorly made retreat by the Santos defense and anticipated goalkeeper Agatha. With a short cut, she took it from the Santos goalkeeper and finished it into the net.
At 25, after a corner taken from the left, the ball fell again to the feet of Evelin Bonifácio, in the middle of the attacking field. She saw Thaina ahead and tried to finish through coverage, but sent the ball over the goal.
Three minutes later, Evelin received a deep pass from Isa Viana and attacked the marker on the right wing. At the entrance to the area, she managed to hit with great force. The ball was heading towards the bottom left corner but, due to a deflection by the goalkeeper, it ended up going out for a corner.
At 42, Ana Barboza received the ball at the edge of the area and tried to finish with great strength. Without direction, the ball went to the right of the goal.
In stoppage time, Peixe had a dangerous foul, close to the sideline of the area. On the left, Raissa Calheiros hit tightly, looking for the right corner. The ball was heading towards the goal, but stopped when a defender headed the ball, on top of the line.
With two minutes played in the second half, Peixe had a foul very close to the line entering the area, on the left side. Raissa Calheiros hit the spot and sent the ball over the goal, just a few centimeters from the crossbar.
In the next minute, however, the Rio team increased the lead to 2-0. Rayka received a high ball and ran at speed on the left wing to come face to face with goalkeeper Agatha. Fluminense’s number 10 hit the Santos goalkeeper’s exit and found the net.
Halfway through the second half, Camile Abreu received a pass from Samara at the edge of the area and found space between the defenders to finish. She kicked very hard and made the ball go very close to the left corner, coming out just a few centimeters from the post.
At 28, Peixe had a free kick in the middle of the attack and, even from a distance, Leveque positioned himself to hit the goal directly. The ball went up a little too high and went over the top, scraping the crossbar.
