Billie Eilish arrived in metro Phoenix on a tour supporting “Hit Me Hard and Soft,” a Grammy-winning triumph that’s spent the past few weeks making the rounds of year-end critics lists, from Rolling Stone to Entertainment Weekly and the New York Times.
And she wasn’t shy about sharing the highlights of that album when she hit the stage at Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale, treating fans to full performances of eight songs and snippets of the other two.
She spread it around, though, reaching back to her chart-topping full-length debut “When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?” for such highlights as “Bad Guy,” “Bury a Friend” and “Everything I Wanted” and dusting off such standouts of her second album, “Happier Than Ever,” as the title track, “Therefore I Am” and “Your Power.”
She also made her contribution to the “Barbie” soundtrack, which was great, and reached back to her first charting single, 2016’s gorgeous “Ocean Eyes.”
